Program Name & Description

Our Building is a resident communication and building management platform for residential co-ops and condominiums. The Our Building SMS program enables residents to submit maintenance requests, receive status updates on open tickets, and get important building announcements — all via text message.

By enrolling your mobile number, you consent to receive automated text messages from your building's management team through the Our Building platform, powered by Twilio.

Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply.

Standard SMS and data rates charged by your mobile carrier may apply to messages sent and received through the Our Building program. Our Building does not charge a fee for SMS messages, but your carrier's standard rates apply.

Please check with your mobile carrier if you are unsure about your messaging plan.

03Frequency

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your building's activity and your use of the maintenance ticketing system. You may receive messages when:

  • A maintenance ticket you submitted is updated
  • Your building management sends a building-wide notice
  • A time-sensitive alert (such as a water shutoff or building access issue) is issued

On average, residents receive 2–6 messages per month, though this varies based on active tickets and building activity.

04Opt-Out

How to Opt Out or Get Help

You can manage your messaging preferences at any time by replying directly to any Our Building text message:

To stop receiving messages, reply:

STOP

You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages will be sent to your number, except as required by law.

For assistance or a list of commands, reply:

HELP

You'll receive instructions for getting support and available commands.

You may also opt out at any time by contacting building management directly or updating your preferences in the Our Building resident portal.
